Twilight or harry potter? ?

Question

Twilight or harry potter? ?
i think harry potter, you?

Answer

Ok Twilight is, I can honestly say the worst book I have ever readbrBella I love you EdwardbrEdward I love you too you are so beautifulbrBella No YOU are so beautiful. I love you. Youre all sparklybrEdward You are the most perfect creature everbr pages and books laterbrBella I love you EdwardbrEdward I love you you are so beautifulbrOMFG its just them proliferating their love for each other for pages. And right at the end Smeyer is like JESUS CHRIST I NEED PLOT and throws some crap in.brbrHarry Potter on the other hand is a book which is complex and has richness and depth. The main difference between the two books is audience. Harry Potter caters to such a large audience. Children, teens and adults from all over the world love Harry Potter. And the same can be said about Twilight too I guess but youve got to admit the agefan distribution is much more evenly spread with Harry Potter than it is with Twilight. Twilight fans are grouped in the age group. And the majority of those are female. A LOT of them have never read anything other than Twilight and scoff at picking up something else, because zomg it doesnt have Edward in it. brbrHarry Potter on the other hand has fans of all walks of life. Female, male, young and old. Obviously the majority of fans are teenagers, most in their late teens now as were the ones that have grown up with Harry Potter. But Harry Potter has such a large adult audience that theyve developed adult editions. There are fan conventions held numerous times every year which are attended by thousands of people. For many of these conventions you have to be eighteen. I think thats fantastic. I gave my parents Harry Potter to read. They liked it. My sister gave them twilight to read. Mum thought it was a joke. brbrThe actual writing of Twilight is, in every way, inferior to that of Harry Potter. Smeyer writes like shes swallowed a thesaurus and apparently doesnt know the meaning of Purple Prose. She repeats the same words and phrases over and over again. It seemed the word chagrin was written twice every page. Her books have more plot holes and inconsistencies than swiss cheese. . I cannot understand how Edward can have sperm still living in his body, one hundred years after he died? And that sperm didnt only survive but the chromosomes in it changed? Its ridiculous. She gets around her problems by saying her novels are fantasy therefore normal rules dont apply. But then she rapes general fantasy rules and claims she can do this because her vampires are based more on science Which one is it? The books have little to no plot. Seriously Im fairly sure the entire series is just Edward and Bella making out for pages with a New Moon size gap where Bella pines. brbrHarry Potter on the other hand is masterfully written. The plot is interwined over seven books, with events in the first book foreshadowing events in the last. You seldom find details that are redundant and the story itself is very suspenseful. The books are full of captivating subplots which really gives Harry Potter the richness that defines it. Jo has obviously put some research into her books, theres deep roots in mythology which are relevant and add depth. No matter how many times I reread I always pick up something new and, in the end, everything ties together. brbrThe characters in Twilight are an embarrassment. Edward is disgusting. He is a stalker. He follows Bella, wont let her see her friends, wont let her drive, beats her up when theyre having sex, gives her a csection with his teeth. Yeah Id totally swoon if that happened to me. Bella is a terrible role model to young girls. She falls apart when her boyfriend leaves her and only pulls herself back together when she finds another guy to replace him. She has no personal goals or wishes other than to be with Edward forever. She is willing to throw away her future, her education, everything with little regard for the consequences not only to herself but to everyone around her. Every character is a marysue. Bella is supposed to be an average girl yet her only flaw is that shes clumsy, which everyone finds endearing so its not really a flaw at all. brbrHarry Potter on the other hand, has rich characters who have background, are unique and have REAL flaws. Choose any character and you can pull faults and positive traits from their personalities. Harry is an example that no matter what your upbringing, an no matter how much badness there is in the world, love ultimately will persevere. Hermione is a fantastic role model. She is strong minded and intelligent. When Ron rejects her she doesnt collapse into a heap, she remains strong gets over it. She stands up for what she believes in but is still a real character. She is bossy, single minded and yes, she is a knowitall. But thats what adds depth to her character and makes her so fantastic. brbrThe only reason Twilight is popular is because its adored by kids who dont have the maturity to realise how fake it is and how poorly its written. As Stephen King, best selling author for decades said brquotThe real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer cant write worth a darn, quot he said. quotShes not very good.
